The week started off with a doozy, what can I say? For all my non-Puerto Rican readers, let me catch you up to speed. We on the island are under what is known as Storm Season. Usually occurs from the start of July to mid-August, but for the last couple of years ever since Hurricane Maria hit the island, the Storm Season lasts until roughly the first week of October. Due to our constantly misunderstood (by the government) friend Global Warming, things always seem like it might be a repeat of four years ago. This leads me to this Sunday's storm, Grace, thankfully the area I live in was not that affected apart from some light rains, but other towns on the island were not so lucky. It's funny to think that after such a calm/hectic day, Monday would just kick my ass all over the place.

The sun hits my eyes

as tears from last night dry,

been feeling nostalgic lately

for moments I remember vaguely

Playstation 2 collecting dust

as the cadavers of the controllers 

begin to rust.

Aching to climb Tartarus,

or maybe even explore Inaba,

sorry, those are references to Persona, 

perhaps I should just laugh at Tidus.

enough of the vague game tidbits

got a desire to fix this

hole in my heart

but I have to focus on art

yet art focuses on others

making me feel smothered 

by the lonely island of escapism

my PS2 gave me.
