An Urban Legend Thirty Years in the Making
Unmask an Urban legend
They say that young women who cry in the dead of night are visited by Emio, and in exchange for the happiness the young women yearn for, Emio asks for their lives. An urban legend for sure, but lately the news has been covering a shocking number of murders that see the victims wearing brown paper bags with smiles drawn on them. Just like the victims were found in the urban legend once dawn crept over their lifeless, limp bodies. This prompts the Utsugi Detective Agency to tackle the urban legend, but will they uncover something far more sinister while on the hunt for the truth?

Overview
- From the opening teaser trailer released seven days ago on July 10, 2024 many news outlets began to speculate that this may be a new horror I.P. being made in house at Nintendo.
- Some may feel taken aback due to the anime-like art style or the fact that it's a detective game, however I feel that if the story and tension are paced in a manner that favors the growth of the characters then we may be treated to a game worth our time.
- Emio: The Smiling Man is set to release on Nintendo Switch August 29th, 2024.
In Closing

Until then, thank you once again for taking some time out of your day and reading this article. Take care and have a fantastic rest of your day.
