Complete the Story: A Series of Short Stories #1

My parents gifted me this book to boost my creativity a few years ago. And, to be honest, I've barely used it. Not because I didn't appreciate it, it was more due to a book that pressured me to step out of my comfort zone with prompts that seemed, at first glance, unnatural. Today, however, my partner saw me listless with nothing to do and suggested I post one of these finished short stories. For fun, I figured, "What the hell, why not?" And so, without further ado, here is the first short story I finished well over five years ago. Enjoy, and happy Easter to those who celebrate! No Man's Pond I've been missing for three days.
